Six Flags Qiddiya City is an ambitious new theme park being built just outside Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, set to open in late 2025. It spans about 320,000 square meters and will feature 28 rides and attractions, roughly 10 thrill-rides and 18 family-oriented ones.
The park is being developed in six immersive themed lands:
- City of Thrills
- Discovery Springs
- Steam Town
- Twilight Gardens
- Valley of Fortune
- Grand Exposition
Some of its headline attractions include Falcons Flight (planned to be the world’s tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster), Sirocco Tower (world’s tallest free-standing shot tower ride), Gyrospin (tallest pendulum ride), Spitfire (tallest inverted top-hat coaster), and Iron Rattler (tallest tilt coaster).
In addition to the rides, Six Flags Qiddiya City will offer a diverse visitor experience: about 29 international dining outlets, 25 unique retail shops, themed environments that alternate between high energy and more serene escapes, as well as shows, immersive design, and family-friendly amenities.
Operationally and strategically it plays a big role in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative—targeting entertainment, tourism, and cultural infrastructure to help diversify the economy. Six Flags’ role is via a management agreement: they’ll operate both the theme park and the adjacent water park Aquarabia.
Six Flags Qiddiya City is poised to be a record-making, large-scale destination offering both adrenaline thrills and family fantasy, set in a desert backdrop but designed to be immersive, walkable, and globally competitive.
